Day-Porting, What the Heck is That!?
Do you know what Day-Porting is, or what a Day-Porter does? Day Porters are more than simply exterior janitors. These professionals are an important component of any efficient maintenance program who, in addition to keeping the outside of your property looking its best, serve as your eyes and ears and are trained to identify and report any issues as soon as they arise. This allows property managers to rest easy knowing their sites are in the best hands possible.
Uniformed Day Porters should be in constant communication with operations staff to be sure that issues are being resolved as quickly as possible. They must be trained to immediately report any safety concerns or other necessary maintenance issues. A good maintenance company will perform regular inspections to ensure that all work is in accordance with high company standards. Additionally, field supervisors must be utilized to regularly perform inspections, and provide training as needed.
